The Islamic State group (Daesh) claimed responsibility on Sunday March 19 for an attack by Ugandan terrorists from the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) that left at least ten (10) dead in Nguli, a town located in the territory of Lubero, in the North -Kivu. This attack is the first in Lubero territory .

"On Saturday, ISIS fighters launched an armed attack on the village of Nguli in North Kivu," said a statement released by Amaq, its propaganda outlet.

Three days ago, the Islamic State also claimed the death of 65 Christians in an attack attributed to the ADF in the territory of Beni. The terrorists through their propaganda agency have assumed the duty to convert, subjugate or kill Christians.

The terrorists of the ADF (Allied Democratic Forces), reputed to be close to the Islamic State, have already launched several offensives in North Kivu, in particular in Beni and Kasindi, near the border with Uganda.

In March 2021, the US State Department compiled a list of terrorists, affiliates and leaders of the Islamic State in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Mozambique. The US State Department has designated the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria as those operating notably in the two countries.

In the DRC, ISIS-DRC or EI-DRC working under the name of ADF, is designated as a global terrorist group, led by Seka Musa Baluku. As a result of these designations, the US State Department is announcing a freeze on the assets of designated individuals and prohibiting US nationals from engaging in transactions with them.
