Job Summary<\/p>\n
The IT Manager will be responsible for the organizational data management including but not limited to data collection, processing, and analysis in different areas of interventions e.g development, health, and social welfare. The person will be in charge the organization data security, disclosure process, and related guidance for publications. S\/he will be responsible for the organization software design and maintenance according to the organization mission and vision.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities of an IT Manager<\/p>\n
To manage the information technology and the computer systems;
\nTo plan, to organize, to control, and to evaluate IT, the electronic data operations, and lead computer-related activities in the organization;
\nTo build the capacity of Caritas Rwanda staff through the training and coaching in the area of IT and to appraise their performance;
\nTo design, to develop, to implement, and to coordinate systems, policies, and procedures;
\nTo ensure the security of data and their storage in the organization network with regular updates of the backup systems;
\nTo do the troubleshooting of hardware and software issues related to internal IT;
\nTo monitor the performance of the information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to formulate the recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure;
\nTo act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to the organizational policy;
\nTo identify the problematic areas and to implement strategic solutions timely;
\nTo audit systems and to assess their outcomes;
\nTo preserve assets, information security, and control structures;
\nTo handle annual budget and to ensure cost-effectiveness;
\nTo update\/design data security and disclosure guidance to all concerned in the institution.
\nQualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
At least 5 years of working experience with non-governmental organizations, doing IT operations;
\nAt least 3 years working experience as an IT Manager in organizations. Having this experience with an international organization will be an added value;
\nHaving a certification in CompTIA Network+, ITIL-Information Technology Infrastructure Library, and CCNP;
\nHaving a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, information science or similar field;
\nHaving an experience in leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies;
\nHaving an excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems;
\nHaving a strong critical thinking and decision-making skills;
\nHaving an excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize;
\nHaving an excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware\/software systems;
\nHaving the expertise in data center management and data governance;
\nHaving hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
