The company is engaged in the business of providing advanced information and Communication Technology (\u201cICT\u201d) services based on 4G LTE and Fiber Connectivity. Mango Telecom Ltd, as leading 4G Internet service provider, has evolved into a full-range Internet and business solutions providing in public and private institutions in Rwanda.<\/p>\n
Mango Telecom Ltd is looking for an employee who is eligible for the following position:<\/p>\n
AVAILABLE POSITION: IT Assistant <\/p>\n
NUMBER OF POSITIONS:1<\/p>\n
DIVISION: IT<\/p>\n
REPORT TO: IT Manager<\/p>\n
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Provide adequate support to Mango4G Services, Product end user as well as, Mango4g Staffs.
\nResolve, repair and install fiber optics systems and ensure that they work properly
\nExamine and replace faulty and old fiber optic cables and also organize scheduled maintenance routines
\nTake care of fiber splicing and rectify fiber optic problem areas
\nDevelop sensor indicators and conduct timely inspections to make sure that faulty fiber optic system does not destabilize its performance
\nExecute premises cabling and take care of the underground and underwater cabling requirements
\nKeep track of the signal strength of different devices such as television, telephone to provide adequate performance
\nProvide adequate and organized trainings to existing and new staffs on IT.
\nImplement protocols of IT safety, policies, and regulations.
\nCooperation with partners\u2019 engineers in all technical matters when needed.
\nTo assist in software and hardware upgrades.
\nTo add or update workstations for office staffs.
\nTo perform routine PC maintenance and updates for performance efficiency.
\nResponding to technical support calls from end users of computers and software applications
\nsetting up and installing new computers, networks, and software
\nsetting up user accounts and profiles on the network
\ninstalling and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software, and other applications such as Microsoft Office
\ndiagnosing and fixing network problems and hardware or software faults
\nmanaging backups of servers, in case of data loss
\nKeeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions, for future reference.<\/p>\n
REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
Have Proven work experience of 3 years work as network engineer or related field in recognized local or national institutions
\nBachelor’s degree in Networking or in any other related field of study.
\nHiring ability to build the right team to work together and further the company’s aims.
\nDiplomacy and negotiation skills as you negotiate what you feel is best for the company’s IT systems
\nCommunication skills with people of all levels throughout the organization they work for.
\nAn ability to respond well to effective feedback and on time.
\nStrong communication skills in English, French, and Kinyarwanda.
\nExcellent analytical skills
