2. Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
The purpose of the job is to monitor the market volatility on the different currencies the Bank operates to assist in decision making and internal reporting control to ensure that the bank funds are always well invested.<\/p>\n
3. Main Responsibilities of the Job<\/p>\n
Prepare various liquidity reports as per the BRD reporting timelines, ensuring quality and timeliness in the reporting process
\nPrepare a daily cash position and net position reports to management for information and decision making
\nPrepare a weekly Bank liquidity projection taking into accounts the expected inflows and outflows
\nIdentify and disseminate information relating to liquidity sources, funding or investment counterparties, and global markets that may inform strategic and operational decision making
\nContribute towards the establishment of relationships with various financial institutions that BRD engages with, to ensure BRD achieves the support required on funding
\nUndertake the day today operational aspects of the implementation of the BRD treasury management strategy, ensuring timeliness and quality
\nProvide input into the development of the BRD treasury management strategy, ensuring responsiveness to market needs
\nAnalyze the market Risk in terms of currency, interest rates and liquidity and make appropriate recommendations
\nPrepare a mismatch report of assets and Liabilities on a monthly basis
\nPrepare investment proposals of available liquidity
\nTimely follow up and reporting of the correspondent Banks transactions
\nEnsuring successful payment to lenders of the bank
\nUndertake the day-to-day foreign currencies buy and sale transactions by generating revenues for the bank.

\nUpdated foreign exchange rates
\nReports of liquidity mismatch
\nReturn on investments of the Bank\u2019s liquidity
\nRevenue on foreign currency transactions

Financial institutions
\nOther DFIs and Lenders
\n6.Professional, academic qualifications and experience<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in finance commerce, Accounting, Business Administration\/ or related field
\nA minimum of three (3) years experience working in a commercial bank or similar institution
\n7.Core competencies<\/p>\n
Demonstrable track record in treasury operations and management
\nBanking treasury management systems
\nProven experience in managing relationships with correspondent banks and business partner
\nThorough knowledge and application of derivatives to hedge market risk
\nAbility to analyze the dynamics of international financial markets and provide investment forecast
\nExperience in Financial analysis and reporting
