President Paul Kagame will, on Friday, November 4, commission 568 officer-cadets who have completed their training at Rwanda Military Academy in Gako.<\/p>\n
Of them, 475 were trained for one year while 93 are graduating after four years of both academic and military training.<\/p>\n
The graduating officers will be joined by 24 young Rwandans who underwent their military training in partner countries.<\/p>\n
In the ceremony, they will all take their Commissioning Oath pledging allegiance to Rwanda and its leadership.<\/p>\n
The officer cadets will be commissioned to hold the rank of 2nd Lieutenant joining Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF) to contribute to protecting national sovereignty.<\/p>\n
Founded in 2000, the Rwanda Military Academy has upheld high standards of academic and military training matching the global context to cope with contemporary security challenges and threats.<\/p>\n
In collaboration with the University of Rwanda, in 2015, the RMA introduced Long officer-cadets basic training covering both academic and professional military training.<\/p>\n
The academy offers seven programs including General Medicine, Engineering, Social and Military Science, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
