Police in Adamawa State, Nigeria, arrested a 19-year-old young man named Mohammed Umar on May 18, 2025, for allegedly behaving inappropriately at the LCCN church located in the Ngurore area while wearing clothing typically associated with women.
The young man, a resident of Abuja Road in Yola South, was apprehended after a man named Sunday Andrawus alerted security authorities about someone acting strangely in the church garden. The Ngurore police responded quickly and took him into custody.
Adamawa State Police Commissioner, CP Dankombo Morris, stated that the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yola for a thorough and credible investigation.
