Crisis at Rayon Sports Women: Players Evicted Over Unpaid Salaries

Players of Rayon Sports Women Football Club are being evicted from their homes due to three months of unpaid salaries.

The players say they haven’t received their wages for February, March, and April 2025, nor have they received bonuses for 8 out of 14 matches owed to them. Before the final of the Peace Cup, they were promised bonuses for nine games but only received payment for three.

Some foreign players have started lacking food after being kicked out of their homes for failing to pay rent. The players say they have repeatedly engaged the management, but their concerns are ignored in favor of the men’s team.

In a letter to the club leadership, the players requested to be paid amicably, warning that if this is not resolved, they will seek legal action. They expressed frustration, saying they have given their all to win trophies but received no recognition in return.

Reports suggest that the funds allocated to the women’s team go through the Rayon Sports Association account, and may have been diverted elsewhere.

This comes shortly after Rayon Sports WFC won the 2024–2025 championship, even as their players struggle with off-field hardships.
