Ugandan midfielder Ronald Ssekiganda has officially parted ways with Villa SC, where he served as team captain. The 26-year-old is set to join Rwanda’s APR FC, having already agreed to a two-year deal with the club.
In a message addressed to the fans and management of Villa SC, Ssekiganda expressed gratitude for the love he received and the opportunity to win the club’s 17th Uganda Premier League title. He stated that he is leaving to continue growing as a footballer.
Ssekiganda has played for Villa SC since 2020, scoring five goals in 69 appearances. He also played a key role in helping Uganda secure qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco.
He is expected to strengthen the midfield of APR FC, a club that is actively rebuilding during the player transfer window.
