On Thursday, July 3, joint initiatives by the Rwandan Police, Rwanda Defence Force, East African Community (EAC) and partners officially ended, aimed at promoting welfare and development.

These projects, spanning three months across Rwanda, highlighted the theme:
“Rwandan citizens and security forces celebrating 31 years of Liberation and 25 years of Police–Public partnership,” and culminated in the fifth annual EAC‑CIMIC Week—Military–Civilian cooperation week.

Key achievements included:

  • 41,868 healthcare services delivered

  • 70 homes constructed and handed to vulnerable families

  • 13 bridges built to improve mobility and trade

  • 10 Early Childhood Development (ECD) centers established

  • Support to 33 cooperatives staffed by ex‑rehabilitated individuals

Since June 29, troops from Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda took part. Specialists from these nations provided medical care—internal medicine, maternal health, pediatrics, orthopedics, and dental services. Additional efforts included solar power installations, water tanks, home finishing, tools for vulnerable homes, and equipment for motorcycle taxi operators.
