Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni received international American evangelist Pastor Benny Hinn at the presidential palace in Nakasero, in a meeting marked by prayer and discussions on the role of Christianity in Africa’s development.
Museveni emphasized that the message of Jesus on love and resurrection has given profound value to African culture.
He said:
“Our people already knew God—we call Him Katonda. But the message of the resurrection was new and deeply valuable.”
In response, Pastor Benny Hinn stated that true life flows directly from Jesus:
“Life is not a thing, it’s a person—and His name is Jesus.”
Pastor Robert Kayanja, who organized the visit, expressed gratitude to President Museveni for warmly receiving Pastor Hinn, providing security and logistical support, and for showing genuine love toward the Church and the nation.
The event concluded with a prayer led by Pastor Hinn, where he blessed the President’s family and the nation of Uganda. Gifts were exchanged as a sign of mutual respect and partnership in spreading the Gospel and fostering national progress.
Pastor Benny Hinn is currently on a three-day visit to Kampala, joining believers in mass services held at the Miracle Centre Cathedral on Saturday and Sunday.
