Raul Asencio, a 22-year-old defender from Real Madrid, remains under investigation by Spanish authorities over allegations of sharing explicit content involving a 16-year-old girl.
This comes after the Gran Canaria court rejected his request to halt the inquiry, citing sufficient evidence that could potentially lead to charges.
In a statement released Thursday, Asencio denied any involvement in recording or distributing the explicit video, claiming he has never violated anyone’s sexual rights, especially those of minors.
He added that he trusts the judicial system and will continue to defend himself legally.
The case is ongoing, and Asencio is being investigated alongside three other former Real Madrid players, who are also suspected of illegally filming and distributing the video.
