Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Hon. Juvenal MARIZAMUNDA, began a three-day working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco on Wednesday, June 18. He was accompanied by Shakilla Umutoni, Rwanda’s Ambassador to Morocco, Col. David Mutayomba (RDF Military Training), and Lt Col. Angeline Kamanzi (Military Intelligence Analysis).

The visit began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the tomb of Mohammed V, paying tribute to Morocco’s historic legacy and its founding father of independence.

On the first day, a high-level meeting took place between the Rwandan delegation and their Moroccan counterparts, led by Abdeltif LOUDYI, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of National Defence Administration. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the Moroccan Armed Forces.
The discussions focused on strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.

The day concluded with the signing of a military cooperation agreement between the Government of Rwanda and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, as announced by Rwanda’s Ministry of Defence.
This important agreement establishes a strong framework for military collaboration and paves the way for broader bilateral defence partnerships.
This visit marks a major milestone in Rwanda-Morocco military ties and reflects both countries’ commitment to promoting peace, security, and development.
