The Government of Rwanda has granted six days off to all public servants, including two weekend days, in honor of Independence Day and Liberation Day.
Tuesday, July 1st will mark Independence Day, while Liberation Day will be observed on Friday, July 4th.
In addition to these two official public holidays, the Ministry of Public Service and Labor announced that Wednesday, July 2nd and Thursday, July 3rd will also be public holidays.
This means that during the week beginning June 29th, civil servants will only work on Monday, June 30th.
The Ministry further clarified that work will officially resume on Monday, July 7th.
However, the Ministry emphasized that essential services will remain operational to avoid any disruption of critical operations.

Liberation Day is one of the key reasons the Government extended the holiday to a full week.
