U.S. President Donald Trump has called on all citizens to evacuate Tehran, the capital city of Iran, amid reports that a strike might be imminent.
Trump made this announcement on his Truth Social platform, stating:
“Iran should have agreed to the deal I proposed. It’s a tragedy to see so many lives lost. Iran must never possess a nuclear weapon. I’ve repeated this countless times. Everyone in Tehran must leave now.”
Trump’s message was followed by a similar advisory from Israel, which also urged its citizens to evacuate certain parts of Tehran, as military tensions continue to escalate between the two nations.
Iran responded by saying this is a form of psychological warfare designed to frighten civilians.
Leaders of the G7 nations issued a joint statement backing Israel’s right to self-defense, blaming Iran for the ongoing regional instability.
They also called for peaceful solutions, including an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, to promote calm in the Middle East.
