Amahoro Stadium Competes with Real Madrid’s Stadium.

Amahoro Stadium, one of the newest state-of-the-art sports facilities in Africa, has been listed among the 23 stadiums competing for the 2024 World’s Best Stadium Award, according to StadiumDB.com.

This Rwandan stadium was officially inaugurated on July 1, 2024, in a ceremony led by President Paul Kagame, alongside the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe, and various Rwandans.

Since 2010, StadiumDB.com has been awarding newly built stadiums based on votes from sports enthusiasts worldwide.

This year, Amahoro Stadium is competing alongside renowned stadiums like Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu (Spain), Egypt Stadium (Egypt), Kingdom Arena (Saudi Arabia), Linyi Olympic Sports Park Stadium (China), among others.

Amahoro Stadium has a seating capacity of 45,000, built on 75,000 square meters, with a height of 40 meters. The construction cost reached $160 million, meeting CAF and FIFA standards.
