The Iranian military has launched an attack on Israel using drones, as an act of retaliation for a recent Israeli strike against them.
These Israeli attacks reportedly killed the Commander of Iran’s Ground Forces, the head of the country’s elite military unit known as the IRGC, and the commander in charge of rapid response forces.
Reports indicate that, in response, Iran has sent over 100 drones and several missiles toward Israel.
International media, including Al Jazeera Television, report that the Israeli and Jordanian military forces have begun intercepting these drones.
Israel’s state television says its army is shooting down the drones over Syrian airspace, while Channel 12 reports that some are being intercepted over Saudi Arabian airspace.
Meanwhile, Jordan’s state news agency confirms that the country managed to shoot down drones and missiles that entered its airspace on Friday.
