The Guinean Football Federation announced on Tuesday, July 18, the withdrawal of the U20 men’s national team from the football tournament as part of the IX Francophonie Games to be held from July 28 to August 6, 2023 in Kinshasa .
The federation meant that “this decision is taken after a request from the Ministry of Youth and Sports” of the Guinean Republic.
Guinea was housed in Group D along with Morocco, Ivory Coast and Lebanon.
