Brazzaville denied, Saturday, July 29, its possible involvement in the destabilization of power in Kinshasa .
The spokesperson for the Government of Congo-Brazzaville, Thierry Moungala has thus reframed the opinion which spreads the idea that his country maintains relations with Rwanda likely to cause destabilization of the DRC.
“We support the need to find all peaceful solutions to all kinds of political, diplomatic and even violent conflicts. President Denis Sassou Nguesso is a born mediator,” he told reporters.
Thierry Moungala also explained the fact that part of Congolese land was ceded to the Rwandan side out of his country’s desire to achieve food self-sufficiency:
“It is not just the Rwandan side. There are entrepreneurs, farmers, South African farmers. There are other nationalities coming. On the other hand, I understand that these questions are sensitive for the Democratic Republic of Congo”.
He further invited the media from both banks of the Congo River to inform in a professional manner.
The Minister of Communication of Congo Brazzaville thus answered a question from the Kinshasa press at the end of an audience that Prime Minister Jean Michel Sama Lukonde granted to his counterpart of Congo Brazzaville, Anatole-Collinet Makoso.
