President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi appointed this Tuesday, August 1, new officials at the head of security institutions. Daniel Lusadisu Kiambi becomes new boss of the National Intelligence Agency. He replaces Jean-Hervé Mbelu in this position.
Jean-Louis Esambo Kangashe has been appointed special security adviser to President Félix Tshisekedi, replacing Jean-Claude Kabongo. Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Kinshasa, Professor Esambo has been a judge at the Constitutional Court and the Council of State.
These appointments were made public through ordinances signed by the Head of State and read on public television, the RTNC, this same Tuesday.
The members of the boards of several public companies were also appointed by Felix-Antoine Tshisekedi.
Kiambi is a doctor by training, specializing in cardiology and emergency medicine. He also received military training at the Royal Military School (ERM) in Belgium. He served particularly in the Zairian Armed Forces and worked in the Special Presidential Division (DSP).
He had a brilliant career in the Zairian Armed Forces (FAZ) under the regime of Marshal Mobutu up to the rank of colonel.
