In a grand ceremony held at the Kigali Convention Center on Friday, awards were presented to the top performers of the 2024–2025 Rwanda Premier League season, featuring big names and outstanding achievements.
APR FC defender Niyigena Clement was crowned Player of the Year after playing 27 matches, scoring 2 goals, and helping his team clinch the league title. His coach, Darko Novic from Serbia, also won Coach of the Year, despite having already parted ways with APR FC.
Striker Umar Abba of Bugesera FC was the Top Scorer, netting 17 goals and providing 6 assists. Ssebwato Nicholas of Mukura VS, from Uganda, won Best Goalkeeper, having played 25 matches with 4 clean sheets.
Among young talents, Useni Kiza Seraphin of Amagaju FC stood out, scoring 11 goals and providing 11 assists in 25 matches. Biramahire Abeddy of Rayon Sports received the Goal of the Year award for his stunning goal against Muhazi United on April 19, 2024.
The event also revealed the Best XI of the Season, including stars like Niyigena Clement, Ruboneka Jean Bosco, Umar Abba, and Fall Ngagne.
