Rwanda is preparing to host the international summit titled 100 Most Notable Africans Leadership and Business Summit 2025, which will take place at the Marriott Hotel in Kigali from July 4 to 6, 2025. The summit will bring together experts in economics, top government and private sector leaders, investors, professionals, and decision-makers across the African continent.
According to the organizers—also behind 100 Most Notable Peace Icons in Africa—the main goal of this summit is to promote discussions focusing on Africa’s economy, good governance, investment opportunities, and sustainable development. It will also cover innovation, improved governance, education development, and strengthening youth participation through training and mentorship.
The summit will serve as a platform to showcase and recognize the impact of outstanding African leaders and changemakers, with the aim of inspiring others and promoting Africa’s global image. During the event, 100 outstanding Africans will be awarded, including public and private sector leaders, artists, investors, politicians, peacebuilders, change agents, and other key development contributors.
Among those to be awarded are Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man; Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO); Mohamed Salah, striker for Liverpool and the Egyptian national team; Tony Elumelu and investor Femi Otedola. International artists such as Burna Boy, Tems, Diamond Platnumz, Bruce Melodie, and other influential African entertainers will also be recognized.
During a press briefing held in Abuja, Nigeria, Ambassador Dr. Kingsley Amafibe, the Program Director of 100 Most Notable Peace Icons in Africa, said the summit also aims to foster African collaboration in agriculture, education, and health sectors. He emphasized that for Africa to rise, visionary leadership, transparent governance, and multi-sector cooperation are essential. He added that the summit will include specialized training for future leaders and investors, while supporting artists and youth-led development initiatives.
Participants will discuss themes such as governance, business development, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and people-centered development—all aimed at driving transformative, efficient, and inclusive progress in Africa.
The summit will also support young entrepreneurs, innovators, and emerging enterprises through mentorship, training, and access to markets. Special sessions will focus on initiatives to advance education, health, environmental protection, and youth empowerment, in collaboration with international organizations, NGOs, and private stakeholders.
The summit is expected to help Africa take a major leap forward through intersectoral partnerships, strong leadership, and transparent, professional systems.
