On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, the Minister of Justice, Constant Mutamba, is expected to appear before the Office of the Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation, according to an official summons issued on Monday, June 2.
This summons follows the decision by the Parliament of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to authorize the judiciary to investigate the Minister of Justice.
Minister Constant Mutamba is accused of embezzling approximately $20 million from the national treasury. The funds were originally allocated for the construction of the Central Prison of Kisangani, the capital of Tshopo Province.
