The verdict reading in the trial of Sengabo Jean, popularly known as Fatakumavuta in the entertainment industry, was scheduled for June 6, 2025, but has now been postponed to June 13, 2025.

This postponement is due to the date coinciding with the Eid al-Adha holiday celebrated by Muslims.

According to Fatakumavuta’s defense lawyer, Maitre Fatikaramu, the verdict was to be delivered by the Nyarugenge Intermediate Court following the hearing that took place on May 15, 2025, in which he is facing five charges.

The prosecution has requested a nine-year prison sentence for Fatakumavuta, while he pleaded to be acquitted, citing his diabetes condition and his responsibilities to care for his family.

This case is being closely followed by fans of the entertainment industry and the general public, who eagerly await the court’s verdict on June 13, 2025.
