Rayon Sports Appoints New Coach as the Season Concludes
Rayon Sports Football Club has officially announced that Afhamia Lotfi, former coach of Mukura Victory Sports, is the new head coach of the blue-and-white team.
In a statement released on May 30, 2025, by the president of Rayon Sports, Thaddée Twagirayezu, it was confirmed that Lotfi is taking charge of the team to lead it into a new chapter of competing for trophies, including the national league title and continental competitions.
He said: “We want a new Rayon Sports that wins trophies, built on strength, vision, and performance.” He added that fans should expect a team that will make them proud, including fighting for the CAF Confederation Cup title.
Rayon Sports also announced that the “Rayon Sports Day” fan celebration will take place between July 26 and August 9, 2025, in Kigali, as a way to bring together fans and club leadership.
Afhamia Lotfi is known for his attacking style of play and his commitment to giving opportunities to young players. The management of Rayon Sports expressed confidence that his experience will help restore the club’s past glory.
