Isimbi Yvonne, popularly known as Noeline, a Rwandan actress who gained fame during the Miss Rwanda 2019 pageant, has recently addressed public criticism regarding her involvement in the adult film industry. In a series of over four videos posted on Instagram, Isimbi expressed her frustration towards those condemning her career choice.
Speaking with evident emotion, she emphasized that no one assisted her during her challenging times, and thus, no one has the right to judge her decisions. “You shouldn’t cast stones when you didn’t offer support. I lived on the streets for years without help. Now, I’m living well because I work hard,” she stated.
Isimbi clarified that her involvement in adult films is entirely her decision and not due to coercion. She acknowledged facing verbal harassment in the past but affirmed that it has never deterred her.
At 25, she mentioned that the content she produces generates significant income, primarily from international audiences, as she doesn’t target Rwandan viewers. She also noted that her family, except for her brother with whom she frequently communicates, has remained silent on the matter.
Reflecting on her past, Isimbi stated that even if she had won the Miss Rwanda crown, it wouldn’t have prevented her from pursuing her current path. “I didn’t win the crown, but even if I had, it wouldn’t have stopped me from doing what I want,” she concluded.
