The President of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has given Simba SC a private jet to facilitate their travel to Morocco, where they will play the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final in Berkane on May 17, 2025.
This gesture aims to reduce fatigue and avoid long commercial travel routes the team would have otherwise used. This is not the first time President Samia has supported national clubs — in 2023, she provided Yanga SC with a private jet ahead of their clash with USM Alger.
Simba SC reached the final after eliminating South Africa’s Stellenbosch with a 1-0 victory.
Such support from the Head of State highlights a strong commitment to promoting sports in the region.
