The Secretary-General of CNDD-FDD Continues Treatment in Dubai After Leaving Nairobi
The Secretary-General of the CNDD-FDD Party, Révérien Ndikuriyo, is continuing his treatment at a hospital in Dubai, the capital of the Emirate of Dubai. He was transferred there after being hospitalized at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
According to information received by SOS Media Burundi, RĂ©vĂ©rien Ndikuriyo was transferred to Dubai in very critical condition. One of his close associates said, “He could not recognize anyone and was breathing with the help of medical equipment.”
In the major city of the United Arab Emirates, where many Burundians have sought jobs in recent years due to high unemployment in the country, RĂ©vĂ©rien Ndikuriyo was accompanied by his wife. His wife’s brother, who lives abroad, reportedly joined them as soon as possible.
“He is recovering slowly. However, his lungs were severely affected,” confirmed a family member.
So far, the CNDD-FDD party, which is in power in Burundi, has not commented on this matter. Recently, the President of Burundi, Évariste Ndayishimiye, briefly stated that he is doing well.
