Uganda’s Chief of Defense Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has harshly criticized the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), claiming that the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) are more than 10 times stronger than them.

In a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Gen. Muhoozi stated:

“I must say that the Congolese Army (FARDC)… despite a few challenges… is 10 times better than the Kenyan Army (KDF).”

He particularly rebuked Kenya for the failure of its security forces deployed in Haiti, saying they’ve failed to drive out gangs controlling the capital, Port-au-Prince.

He added:

“Retaking Port-au-Prince would take us one month. Kenyans have failed for almost two years… which is exactly what we expected. Cowards.”

Gen. Muhoozi also urged the United Nations to hand over the Haiti stabilization mission to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), suggesting that Uganda can handle what Kenya has failed to accomplish.

In another post, he challenged Kenya’s special forces deployed in Port-au-Prince to restore order within one month, warning that if they fail, the UPDF should take over the mission.
