Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised a surprise attack on multiple Russian airbases, an operation organized by Ukraine’s intelligence agency, the SBU.
Zelenskyy stated in a post on platform X:
“Our people involved in planning this operation were withdrawn from Russian territory just in time.”
The Ukrainian leader concluded his message saying:
“Russia started this war, Russia must end it.”
A Russian military airbase was hit by Ukrainian drones in a coordinated operation, with reports indicating that more than 40 reconnaissance and combat aircraft were destroyed.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense, however, described the attacks as acts of terrorism targeting the regions of Ivanovo, Ryazan, Amur, Murmansk, and Irkutsk.
