Rayon Sports captain, Muhire Kevin, has dismissed rumors that some players from his team accepted bribes during the Peace Cup final, where they were defeated by APR FC. He urged fans and journalists to stop spreading the allegations, insisting that no player from Rayon Sports was involved in such misconduct.

Rayon Sports lost 2-0 to APR FC on May 4, 2025, a result that led to speculation that certain players—especially defenders and midfielders, including the captain himself—deliberately underperformed. Some even alleged that they had already agreed to join APR FC in the next season.

Muhire Kevin stated that while the team is going through a difficult time, that should not be used as an excuse to slander players. He called for patience and continued support from the fans.

Head coach Rwaka Claude also addressed the issue, saying there was no evidence of bribery and emphasized that both he and his players remain focused on finishing the league strong.

Rayon Sports currently tops the league table with 53 points and will face Rutsiro FC on Thursday at Kigali Pelé Stadium in Matchday 26.
