The Burundi National Defence Force (FDNB) has announced it has gained new military personnel who completed training in intelligence operations.
On Thursday, June 5, these spies concluded a six-month training course that took place in Kinanira.
According to the FDNB through its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the newly trained operatives were urged to “use the knowledge acquired for the benefit of the country.”
Among them are female intelligence officers.
However, after these officers completed their training, Burundi received criticism and mockery for publicly sharing the photos of its intelligence agents, despite the covert nature of their future duties.

More than 30 spies were added to the ranks of the Burundian army.
The spies, including women, received certificates upon graduation.
