APR FC management has firmly denied having any plans to sign Muhire Kevin, the former captain of Rayon Sports, stating that the circulating rumors are coming from people who lack reliable information.
There had been speculation for days about the future of the midfielder, who is currently unattached after finishing a one-year contract with Rayon Sports. Some wondered if he could be heading to APR FC.
However, one APR FC official told the press:
“These are rumors spread by people whose sources we don’t know. We have never pursued him.”
Despite being without a club for now, Muhire Kevin stated that he sees no reason to remain with Rayon Sports if they don’t show interest in keeping him.
Speaking to Kigali Active Media, Muhire said:
“Some have seen me, some clubs are interested. I’m strong… When a place is home, they have to show you you’re valued. If they don’t want you, you stay calm. If those you work with don’t reach out to you, but others do, what would you do? You go where there’s bread.”
Reliable sources indicate that Muhire may return to playing abroad, as he is in talks with several foreign clubs.
As for APR FC, they’ve clearly stated they’ve had no discussions with Muhire, putting all rumors of him joining them to rest.
