Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) has on Monday arrested Ishimwe Dieudonné, aka Prince Kid, the Rwanda Inspiration Backup boss, the organization that is in charge of organizing Miss Rwanda event every year.
Reports claim the arrest is due to sexual assault accusations agains Ishimwe, who, on different occasions, sexually assaulted Miss Rwanda participants.
It is not yet clear who has raised the allegations. However, it has been trending on social media that there is sexual corruption among other malpractices in the Miss Rwanda event.
Local newspapers say Prince Kid used to have sexual affairs with girls who want to be successful in Miss Rwanda.
The investigation is underway while the suspect is detained at Remera Police Station in Kigali.
