The daughter of the President of Burundi, Navie Questia Madeleine Keza Ndayishimiye, graduated this Sunday, May 11, 2025, with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Criminology from Gonzaga University, a private university in the United States.
Her mother, Everyne Ndayishimiye, wife of President Evariste Ndayishimiye, shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), praising her daughter’s determination, love for learning, and ability to overcome challenges.
Everyne Ndayishimiye was present at the graduation ceremony.
She stated:
“With discretion and perseverance, she passed every stage with resolve. Education, as a foundation for change and development, has found in her a worthy representative. She embodies youth that is ambitious, responsible, and ready to put their knowledge to work for the greater good.”
Her siblings were also present at the ceremony.
Gonzaga University is a private Jesuit university located in Spokane, Washington, USA. It is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Founded in 1887 by Italian-born Jesuit missionary Father Joseph Cataldo, the university is named after Jesuit Saint Aloysius Gonzaga.
