Monna Walda Kaneza, popularly known as Mow Kanzie, one of Burundi’s most recognized female artists, has officially married her longtime partner.
The legal ceremony took place on March 23, 2025, following a traditional wedding celebration held earlier in the month.
At 27 years old, Mow Kanzie — who was crowned 1st Runner-Up in the 2016 Miss Burundi pageant — expressed her joy on social media, stating that her life had entered a new chapter.
She wrote: “More smiles, less heartbreak… more love, less hate. There’s so much to be thankful for.”
Though she holds a Master’s degree in Banking, Mow Kanzie is especially loved for her music, particularly by the youth.
She rose to fame with songs like “Hakuna Matata Remix,” “Only One,” and “Ndapfuha” featuring Kidum.
