Members of the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda from across the country gathered on May 24, 2025, for the party’s Political Bureau Meeting held at Olympic Hotel in Gasabo District.
The meeting brought together party leaders, commissioners, and members to discuss the party’s future direction and key priorities for the coming years.
Opening the gathering, the party’s President, Frank Habineza, welcomed participants and highlighted several important topics scheduled for discussion. Among them were training sessions focused on environmental protection and climate change, issues that remain central to the party’s political agenda.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to introduce newly appointed commissioners and recently recruited members who have joined the party from different parts of the country.
One of the major highlights of the event was the official launch of the party’s online membership database. Dr. Habineza said the new digital platform is expected to improve coordination and communication within the party while making membership management more efficient.
During the gathering, the party leadership also presented a new Strategic Plan and Communication Strategy that will guide the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda’s vision and daily operations over the next five years.
According to party officials, the new initiatives are intended to strengthen communication across party structures, encourage constructive ideas for national development, increase party membership, and improve the party’s economic capacity.
The Political Bureau Meeting reflects the party’s continued efforts to modernize its operations and reinforce its role in promoting environmental protection, democratic governance, and sustainable development in Rwanda.
