Research Analyst
Horwath HTL offers services to Governments, International Institutions, and the Private sector. The services we provide such as the development of tourism master plans, marketing strategies, hotel feasibility studies, market representation, and investment promotion are helping to develop tourism and making decisions about tourism investments. Over the last years, we have been supporting the Rwandan Government in the tourism and hospitality sector. During the last years, we have been expanding our activities and conducted projects in Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, and other countries.
Horwath HTL employs over 200 permanent staff members world-wide and in addition calls upon experts from its network of affiliated consultants. Our consultants have worked in the industry at an international level and have a mix of functional and strategic skills and knowledge enabling us to provide expert advice regarding destination management and sustainable tourism development. This mix of skills and knowledge allows us to provide both innovative and workable business solutions.
Horwath HTL would like to recruit a qualified, dynamic and highly motivated candidate of high moral character and professional integrity to fill the position of Research Analyst. The candidate will be part of the consultant team based at Horwath HTL head office in Kigali. She/he will be responsible for data collection and analysis, contributing to business plans and reports and presentations. The Analyst will be reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Research Analyst Duties and Responsibilities
Data collection, internet, and desk research
Analyze data and information
Develop and conduct user surveys
Market and competitors analyze
Research market and industry trends and patterns
Create detailed reports of findings
Simplify findings into presentations
Organize and store data for future research projects
Document all data and research procedures
Organize and conduct focus groups of project users
Create diagrams and documentation to pinpoint problems and find solutions
Identify and understand problems through forecasting, gap analysis, quantitative reporting, research, and statistical analysis
Recommend changes and improvements based on research findings
Write reports, white papers, and other published documents
Compile and analyze data points
Research Analyst Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, management, administration, economics, or tourism
Two years’ experience in applied research or business environment; Able to perform statistical analysis
Skilled knowledge in generating process documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical writing skills
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Terms of Employment
This is a full-time position. The Research Analyst will be based at the Head Office in Kigali with eventual travel to the clients in Rwanda and other countries. We offer a competitive salary with a bonus package and a medical insurance cover.
