France’s Ministry of the Interior has reported that two people died during celebrations marking PSG’s recent UEFA Champions League victory over Inter Milan.
The fatal incidents occurred during an all-night celebration on Saturday night into Sunday, June 1, 2025. Among the victims was a 17-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in Dax, while a man died in a traffic accident in Paris.
According to the Ministry, the teenager was killed in Dax during the festivities for Paris Saint-Germain’s historic win against Inter Milan. The man in Paris died after being hit by a car while riding a scooter.
The 17-year-old victim died after being stabbed while celebrating the PSG victory. The incident took place in the 15th district of Dax. Meanwhile, the man on the scooter succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash in Paris.
These events led to over 500 arrests across the country, with 491 arrests made in Paris alone. Among those, 320 were held in police custody overnight, including 254 in Paris, according to official reports released to the media.
