In Rwanda a church that welcomes and supports homosexuality has been introduced whereby in africa such group of people still are tortured , highly ignored and it’s still considered as a taboo.
In Rwanda this church that has given its members the right to pray is known by names of Church of God in africa in Rwanda it’s located kigali,
It’s been introduced while in Rwanda such people are gradually getting understood and respected for what they are in a society that used to stick on culture!
This church offers a place for solacement to the people in a need of support and neglected by their respective families!
Jean d’ amour Abijuja, the confirmed Homosexuality member, said that he has been sacked by the pentecostal church leaders after discovering his vision concerning sexual inter course.
He further added that ” by now I have got a safe refugee after the opening of this church!”
In his interview with an international Germany radio deutch welle, he said that ” I have come here because we pray safely without any insult, even people with dreadlocks are warmly welcomed here.” I have now got chance to sing again
Homosexuality in Rwanda
By now Rwanda constitution doesn’t support nor make homosexuality a crime regardless that the society still insist on culture. only while in civil marriage they accept marriage between 2 people of different sex.
This confusion in laws still put the homosexuality members in high dilemma.
Abijuja further added that he has searched for God and church after finding himself lonely.
He said that “We meet many problems but my advice to whoever is to pray God for our acceptance.”
He added that hopelessness and loneliness is too bad as it can lead some one to sucide.
Jean de Dieu Uwiragiye, a pastor in this church that welcomes such group of people talking to Deutch welle, said that God loves all people in the same way.
He said that we preach a word of God without any discrimination. Everyone is welcomed regardless to his/her beliefs what is necessary is to preach about love of God and salvation.
What does the word of God say about Homosexuality?
In 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11 says “Don’t you know that Wrong doers will not be offered the kingdom of God? , picture prayers, prostitutes or gays or drunkards or thieves, such people won’t enter the kingdom of God.”
Some of you were like them but you have been saved by the holly spirit in the name of Jesus christ.
In the book of Romans 2:1 says that “There is no excuse for you who accuses others.”
Homosexuality is unusual in Rwanda churches , last year the gospel artist Nabonino albert created a scandal after revealing himself a gay, he lost his job and was sacked from the house he was living in.
