CAR: Rwandan Peacekeepers Donate School Supplies to Over 500 Students in Bria

Rwandan peacekeepers, composed of Rwanda Battle Group VII and Rwanda Level 2+ Hospital, currently serving under the United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), have donated school supplies to more than 500 students from Ecole DOUNIA, located in Yandumo II village, Bria, Eastern CAR.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote education and empower local youth, according to Rwanda’s Ministry of Defence.

Colonel Simon Rocky Nyagasaza, Commander of the Rwanda Level 2+ Hospital, emphasized that the gesture is aimed at supporting the dreams of young people and helping them become the leaders of tomorrow. He encouraged the students to stay committed to their studies in order to pursue their goals.

René Maradounguo, head of Yandumo II village, expressed gratitude to the Rwandan peacekeepers for their continued support. He called for additional assistance in health, education, and sanitation, and reaffirmed the community’s commitment to working with the Rwandan forces in promoting peace and security.
