Information Technology (IT) Intern at Save the Children

The Intern in the Information Technology area will have an opportunity to learn about a broad range of IT Support, IT Network and System Administration, Operations and Management issues while providing support and giving assistance to the SCI Rwanda team

Qualifications and experience

Minimum degree in Computer Science or related field.
Knowledge to operate most ICT and office equipment
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels, taking into account cultural and language difficulties. Tact and diplomacy are essential.
The ability to work closely in a team, patience, adaptable, flexible, ability to improvise and work in an environment that is often stressful and potentially volatile.
Sensitive to issues affecting children and committed to Save the Children Child Safeguarding Policy.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Contract type: Fixed (1 Year)

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

This position is on Child Safeguarding- Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs. Or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
