President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, has opened up that then the rebels RPA/INKOTANYI, did choose not to take revenge on those who were responsible for killings of more than one million of Tutsi in 1994.

Speaking during the event that begins the week of 28th of commemoration of genocide against the Tutsi in Gisozi, Kigali, Kagame said that revenge was reasonable they decided no to.

“Imagine if those of us who were carrying arms, if we had allowed ourselves to pursue those who were killing our people indiscriminately and also killed them? First of all we would be right to do so, but we didn’t. We spared them.” He said

Kagame portrayed the remembering of genocide as a speechless moment to Rwandans.

“It’s a moment people are speechless; not lacking freedom to speak as some people would want to refer to us, as a country we have no freedom to speak that’s rubbish, just doesn’t make sense.” He added
