Police FC’s head coach, Mashami Vincent, has parted ways with the club after three years in charge, along with several players including Abedi, Ally, Clovis, and Chukwuma who have also been released.
This was confirmed by Mashami himself in a message posted on his X account (formerly Twitter), where he expressed joy and gratitude after spending three years coaching the team.
He wrote:
“It is with joy and a heart full of gratitude that I say goodbye after three unforgettable years at Police FC. A new chapter begins. I thank the leadership of Rwanda Police for trusting me since I joined this team and for the support they gave me over the past years. I also thank the team’s management, staff, and all the players for their dedication and commitment. Thank you for everything we achieved together. I wish the team and its wonderful fans all the best. We’ll meet again soon!”
The management of Police FC also thanked him through their social media platforms, acknowledging the efforts of him and his fellow coaches — Justin Bisengimana, Nyandwi Idrissa, and Tumaine Emmanuel — for their contribution to the club’s development.
They stated:
“We sincerely thank coach Mashami Vincent and his entire coaching team for their leadership and valuable contribution to Police FC. Your hard work and energy helped us achieve many milestones. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. May good things follow you everywhere!”
Mashami Vincent is not the only one leaving the club. Police FC also announced the departure of other players including Abedi, Ally, Clovis, and Chukwuma, all of whom were appreciated for their journey with the team.
In a special message to each player, Police FC said:
“Thank you #ABEDI, #ALLY, #CLOVIS, #CHUKWUMA. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. May good things follow you everywhere!”
These changes come after Police FC concluded the 2024/2025 season without winning the championship, which may have influenced the management’s decision to restructure the team.
