The Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA), through its Appeals Committee, has dismissed the appeal submitted by Rayon Sports FC regarding the decision to replay their Peace Cup semifinal match against Mukura Victory Sports.
This decision was communicated in a letter numbered 0272/FERWAFA/2025, dated April 19, 2025, and addressed to the management of Rayon Sports FC.
Rayon Sports had appealed a previous ruling made on April 17, 2025, by FERWAFA’s Disciplinary Committee, which ordered a replay of the semifinal match against Mukura VS.
However, the Appeals Committee ruled that the two grounds presented by Rayon Sports lacked merit, and upheld the decision for the match to be replayed.
The committee emphasized that disagreeing with referees’ reports cannot be considered a valid legal reason to overturn FERWAFA’s ruling.
FERWAFA reiterated that its Appeals Committee is independent and bases its decisions solely on legal grounds, with no bias toward either party.
The rescheduled match is set to take place at Huye Stadium on April 22, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
