June, 4th 2020 in Huye District, Rusatira Sector at Kiruhura Parish, the bride, groom and the priest who lead their religious wedding arrested for violating the rules to combat Covid-19 pandemic.
The groom, Pascal Sibomana and the bride held the civil marriage at Rusatira Sector before the report of the first Covid-19 case on February 14th in Rwanda. The next was religious wedding, however, the pandemic restrictions broke their way.
The friends, residents at groom’s home, the neighbours near the parish and the local leader [requests anonymity] report the arrest to Bwiza Media.
One of the women invited to the wedding narrates her escape to the arrest. “Yes, the man is a veterinary. I was afraid to be arrested and decided not to go there.” She said.
According to new report from Minisitry of Health, Rwanda has recorded 410 total Covid-19 cases, including 280 total recoveries, 128 active cases and 2 deaths.
