On Saturday, May 10, 2025, the Chief of Defence Forces of Uganda, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, warmly hosted his Rwandan counterpart, General Mubarak Muganga, for a dinner.
The news was shared by Gen. Muhoozi himself via X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.
He wrote: “Last night, I had the honor and pleasure of hosting my brother, the Chief of Defence Staff of RDF, for dinner. I thank Gen. Muganga for accepting my invitation and for delivering an inspiring lecture to the officers at the Senior Command and Staff College in Jinja.”
He added: “Long live the brotherly bond between the UPDF and RDF! May God bless Uganda and Rwanda.”
Earlier that Saturday, General MK Mubarak Muganga delivered a keynote lecture to students at the UPDF Senior Command and Staff College in Kimaka, Uganda. The talk was titled: “Finding African Solutions to African Problems: A Case Study of Rwanda’s Humanitarian Interventions in Bilateral and Multilateral African Cooperation.”
He emphasized the importance of African nations taking the lead in resolving the continent’s security issues through partnerships and agreements between two or more countries, aiming to promote African self-reliance and unity.
