The chief prosecutor in IRMCT, the UN mechanism acting for the former International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), Serge brammertz has revealed that after 26yrs the fugitive kayishema fulgence is in South Africa.
Rwanda Prosecution accuses the fugitive kayishema fulgence, the role in the death of 2000 Tutsi in Nyange church on 16 April 1994.
The chief Prosecutor, Brammertz accuses south africa to have neglected the collaboration with the court since two years ago the reason why the fugitive is still there free.
The Prosecutor doesn’t understand why the southafrica republic ignores the arrest of this Genocide fugitive since he is one among the most wanted worldwide.
He further added that the IRMCT will do its best to work day to day and convince south africa about the arrest of kayishema
Who he is
Kayishema was born in former commune Kivumu in former prefecture of kibuye in 1961. He was in charge of police justice in Kivumu commune.
Kayishema in partnership with the former mayor of kivumu, gathered together about 2000 Tutsi who were from different camps in Nyange church, brought the fuel to burn the church and supplied the police with grenades to kill the Tutsi.
Remaining wanted fugitives
Other still wanted fugitive include: Ryandikayo charles who is accused of the death of Tutsi in Mubuga church in former Kibuye prefecture, Sikubwabo Charles also accused of the death of Tutsi in this prefecture, Pheneas Munyarugarama (was a soldier) accused of being one among the planners and implementers of genocide against tutsi within that prefecture.
Aloys Ndimbati (was prefet) , protais mpiranyi( was a soldier) are also accused of planning and implementing the genocide against Tutsi within this prefecture during 1994.
