Gospel singer Aline Gahongayire has expressed her sorrow following the suspension of Grace Room Ministries, offering comfort to its congregants and leader, Pastor Julienne Kabanda.
This comes after Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) announced on Saturday, May 10, 2025, that the church was suspended for violating laws governing faith-based organizations.
In a message shared on social media, Gahongayire said, “The latter glory will be greater than the former,” emphasizing that the ministry will continue and remain impactful in Rwandan society. She encouraged members not to lose faith, calling it a time for strength and national prayer.
She added that although she had not been able to attend recent events held at BK Arena organized by Grace Room, she once prayed there and witnessed the power of God.
RGB’s statement explained that the church had gone beyond its authorized scope and engaged in activities not aligned with church missions.
Grace Room Ministries, led by Pastor Julienne Kabanda, had recently gained popularity through its conferences and evangelistic events in Kigali.
