President Paul Kagame has suspended Minister of State in the Ministry of Youth and Culture, Edouard Bamporiki, from his duties amid his ‘arrest’ rumors on social media since today, afternoon.
According to the communiqué from Office of the Prime Minister, Dr Edouard Ngirente, Mr Bamporiki suspension is “owing to matters of accountability under investigation”.
Different sources from social media suspected the arrest of Mr Bamporiki and another one of the top leaders in Kigali City, today morning.
Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) has confirmed the arrest of Minister. “Bamporiki Edouard who was the State Minister in the Ministry of Youth and Culture is under house arrest, being investigated for serious cases of corruption.” Announced.
